Rep. Royce Announces First Annual Women's Conference
Meg Whitman to provide keynote address

Washington, May 1, 2009 -

Today, Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA) announced his First Annual Women's Conference to be held in conjunction with the City of Orange at Chapman University in Orange on Saturday May 30, 2009.

"I have been a long time advocate of women; fighting to protect their rights and so I look forward to the opportunity to host this conference.  This will be a half day seminar dedicated to addressing a wide range of issues facing women today," Royce said.

The keynote speaker for the conference is Meg Whitman, former President and CEO of eBay.  During her keynote address entitled "All Women are Leaders: Meg's Lessons Learned in Business and in Life," Meg will discuss the lessons she's learned to become a successful individual.

The Women's Conference will include the following breakout seminars (more information for each break out seminar speaker can be found on the Women's Conference section of Royce's website):

• "Smart Money Management Tips: Making the Most of Your Finances"
• "Online Awareness and Safety for You and Your Family: Protecting Your Safety and Identity"
• "Addressing Women's Health and Wellness Concerns: Information and Education"
• "Resources for Women in Business: Essential Career Development Tools"
